Rakesh JK (Jenukuruba ಜೇನುಕುರುಬ) runs a YouTube channel. ASD shared this on 25 Apr 2026, suggesting we think about how to include it in Kaanu .
Kaanu supports multimedia items (images, audio, video) as first-class records in Omeka S via the Multimedia Item template . However, no YouTube or external video hosting exists in the current system. Embeds?
- Rakesh’s videos could become source material for a Jenukuruba community portrait (exhibit in Omeka S)
Next Steps
- Review the YouTube channel content: what topics, language, format, frequency
- Decide on ingestion model: local storage vs external linking (or hybrid)
